The Secret - Some Thoughts On "The Secret"... How To Apply The Law of Attraction


What Is The Secret

The Law of Attraction works whether you are aware of it or not, therefore it is better for You if you use the knowledge to Your advantage

Your knowledge (no matter what knowledge it is) does not matter, makes no difference, if you do not know how to apply it.

Since you are suppose to feel good to attract good - to begin with, start out with looking for the things you are grateful for in your life.

Whenever you feel negative inside, take a deep breath through your nose and breathe out slowly through your mouth formed as a cornet. If the negative feeling persists, breathe in again, in short sequences, then push the air out with fast short puffs. Also, when you breathe in, stretch out, lower your shoulders and look at the sky. Feel the negative vibration slowly disappear. Do this until you have released all of the negative feelings within.

If somebody have evoked (for some reason or another) the negative feeling - do the above and think that it is that person who has the issues, not you.

Stay focused on the good feeling and keep your vision (dream) clear in your mind at all times.

See the movie "The Secret" over and over until you understand the message completely.

Listen to Esther Abraham-Hicks, over and over, until you are equally clear about the messages - until you really understand the process and how it works.

As I have seen the movie over and over again, I have discovered more and more layers of the secret and the law of attraction, from what the scientists and authors in the program are saying. Then I have been able to apply it more and more. As soon as I have applied it I have experienced immediate results.

I can see it in the response I receive from the people I am close to and in the way I relate to everyday ordinary tasks.

Now I can not wait to apply the secret on greater and greater dreams and visions every day. I have already made my list of gratitude. I have already made my list of the things that I want to have and do. I have put my "Universe Bank Check" on the wall opposite my bed. It is the first thing I see when I wake up.

My next step now is to get my own vision board* for the pictures of the things I intend to realize with my new awareness of how the law of attraction is working. I am so exited to see the secret materialize by the law of attraction my dreams into the reality of my life.

I always use to worry about the "How" of the matter - now I have given the "How" to the universe, and am completely focused on the "What". I am now focusing on the prosperity I am about to have, both inner and outer. I have also thought of and felt the power of the "receiving" part, that the secret is talking about. I am now ready to receive the things I desire, the things that I want.

I do not bother about how this will be done, I am completely focused on what I want to do and have and am ready to receive it. I close my eyes and open my mind to receive it. I think about the things and the people and all that I am grateful for first. I feel gratitude and humbleness when I think about how lucky I am in many respects compared to so many others.

I see all the ordinary things around me - things I usually take for granted - but now, I see them in a different light. I am grateful for them, thinking about how fortunate I am compared to many others, living under more uncertain circumstances than myself.

I think of my son, my parents and my friends and that I live in a country blessed from wars for many centuries. I also look at my pet, my beautiful little cat and how peaceful she seems right now. I think of how loving she can be, for example whenever I am down and out. Then she comes to my side and literally stretch her paw out to pat me on my cheek. Is that not beautiful - then tell me what is? I feel grateful to have her in my life.

I think of my mother, now old and sick. One day when we had been in their cottage in the country, she wrote something on a piece of paper and handed it to me as I was leaving for my home: "Thank you for a wonderful day", it said. There is nothing wrong with her speech, but she wanted to give me this plain message on a piece of paper. She was truly grateful - for so little! And my heart fills with love, humbleness and gratitude for my mom, whenever I think of this moment.

I am grateful for my parents, their kindness and never ending love and support. I also think of my son, his inner being. I feel gratitude for his considerate and thoughtful nature, his kindness and sweetness. His sense of humor and sharp senses, his creative spirit and talents.

I am now focused on to align myself with the universe. To think, feel and be in tune with the universe. The universe is an obedient force that respond to my wish. The universe is at my command. Whatever I wish - whatever I want, I can have, do, or make.

Therefore - concentrate on the prosperity, not on the lack. Breathe deep whenever you feel doubt. Think of something or somebody you love. Relax and let the universe care about the mechanisms of the creative process. Close your eyes. Visualize your dreams in your mind. Paint the picture of your dreams in your mind. See the things you want, the people you want to meet and know, the house and the things you want to have, the money you want to own, in your mind.

Do not let doubt get in the way - if you feel doubt - relax and take a deeper breath, focus and zoom in your vision of your life.


*A vision board is a board of any material where you can put your pictures, drawings, etc. of the things and persons you want to have in your life. The things you want to have, the places you want to go to and the people you want to meet and be with. It is a board filled with images and text which visualizes your dreams. If you want you can call it a "vision board" - to remind you of your dream. The purpose of a vision board is to keep your dream alive right there in front of your eyes to look at on a daily basis. They also talk about the vision board in the movie "The Secret".

"Harness the power of email marketing with these simple tips that will keep your emails out of the junk folder... and get your recipients to open them!

Email marketing has experienced a lot of growing pains over the past few years. In the beginning, it was seen as the perfect marketing tool -- cheap, fast, and measurable.Click-through rates were the only numbers that mattered, and people were still excited to receive -- and open -- just about every email in their inbox.

Then, it seemed like the explosion of spam, and the sheer volume of email people receive ruined the effectiveness of email as a marketing tool. Even perfectly legitimate emails were being trapped by spam filters or deleted, unopened, by wary recipients who were concerned about viruses.

Yet there are still companies that, despite these challenges, manage to generate millions of dollars of profit every year using email marketing software.

In fact, at IMC, direct email marketing generated $3.5 million in revenue last year alone! And the opportunities keep growing.

According to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, email remains the number one online activity of Americans -- ahead of Web surfing and using search engines -- and now that more and more people are able to receive email on their cell phones and PDAs, the opportunities for creative email marketing are only continuing to expand.

At the recent Marketing Sherpa Email Marketing Summit in Chicago, Barry Stamos of Responsys.com even stated that people now spend more time reading email than watching TV!

The truth is that spam and volume didn't kill email marketing the way many so-called experts predicted. But they did manage to create a few hoops you now have to jump through to get your emails delivered and opened.

These days, you need to educate yourself on the best ways to collect, manage, and store email addresses, and only send out relevant emails that people will open without hesitation. Do these things right and you'll be able to profit from all of the new opportunities available to email marketers... and continue to enjoy the impressive ROI email marketing provides.

Carefully manage your opt-in list to fully capitalizeon the income-boosting potential of email marketing

Okay, so you've written an opt-in offer for your web siteand started to collect the names and email addresses of visitors who want to hear from you on a regular basis. Theseare people who have decided they like what they see on your web site enough to give you their email addresses. They arebasically inviting you to sell to them!

Now you need to decide how you will store, manage, and use this information. Many people simply store their opt-in lists in aspread sheet or text file, but there is also great email marketing software out there to help you manage this information more easily.

The method you choose to look after this information will depend on your own unique situation, but if you are going to get serious about email marketing, then you'll need to get serious about managing your opt-in list -- not just building it, but also cleaning and maintaining it to ensure that you always generate the best results and never look like a spammer.

Here are a few things you need to know to effectively manageyour opt-ins... and guarantee the highest possible response to any mailout you send:

a. Manage your "subscribe" and "unsubscribe" requests

One of the most important things you can do to minimize your headaches -- and maximize your profits -- is to stay on top of your "subscribe" and "unsubscribe" requests. If you don't have an automated system for managing subscriptions to your opt-inlist, this is especially important.

Always treat requests to unsubscribe from your list seriously. People who aren't promptly removed from your list after making an unsubscribe request can accuse you of spamming them, and you can quickly find yourself in trouble with your ISP.

Of course, it's just as important that people who ask to beadded to your list are subscribed right away, since you never know which one of those subscription requests is going to endup being your best customer.

If your subscribe and unsubscribe requests aren't handled automatically, you should take care of them right before you send out a mailing. This ensures that your list is as currentas possible, and it also means that you don't have to deal with this chore on a daily basis.

b. Remove duplicate addresses

Before you send any mailings, you'll want to make sure that you don't have any duplicate email addresses in your list.There will always be some people -- more than you might think-- who will opt in to your list, leave your site, and comeback a couple of days later to sign up again, forgetting that they've already joined.

Now, people are happy to get one copy of your email, but start sending them multiple copies and just watch how fast they unsubscribe from your list -- or worse yet, report you as aspammer!

This kind of spam complaint is relatively easy to clear up, but it is still a hassle, and instead of having a potential cusomer who was so exited about what you had to offer that they signed up twice, you now have nothing.

c. Clean your list

Keeping your list clean means more than just removing unsubscribes and duplicate addresses. Cleaning your list means sifting through the messages that "bounce back" to you after a mailing, and deciding which ones should be removed from your list completely, and which ones you might want to try mailing again

"Bounced" messages are those messages that, for whatever reason, were not successfully delivered to the intended recipient. Most bounced messages can be categorized as either "soft" bounces or "hard" bounces.

- Soft bounces: These are messages that could not be delivered at the time they were sent, but may be deliverable at some time in the future. These types of bounces are usually caused by the recipient's inbox being full.

- Hard bounces: These are messages that can never be delivered. Hard bounces are usually caused by the user typing in an incorrect email address when opting in to your list, or the subscriber no longer using the email address they originally opted in with. Hard bounces should be deleted immediately. If you leave these addresses in your list, you'll just have to wade through unnecessary bounce messages every time you send a mailing, and that's a waste of your valuable time.

Plus, if you continue to send email to an address that is invalid, you can get into real trouble. This is one of the methods used to identify spammers, and if you are found to be repeatedly sending messages to a "dead" email address, you could have a problem with the ISP receiving the messages.

Emails that are returned as soft bounces, on the other hand, should be dealt with in an entirely different way. Since softbounces are the result of a temporary problem -- a fullmailbox, for instance -- you'll want to re-send your promotionsto all the soft bounce addresses a couple of days after you sent out the initial mailing.

You'll be surprised how many messages get delivered on the second try. And since you've already written the email, there's almost no extra work on your part.

d. Divide your list to conquer more subscribers

Given the mountains of email people receive these days, most only want to see what's relevant. And, unfair as it may seem,anything irrelevant could be considered spam... and reportedas such.

If the people on your list know that the message you're sending is something they want, they'll open it! Using email to target different segments of your audience is one of the single most effective ways to market products or services on the Internet. In fact, email marketers practicing segmentation are currently seeing much better results than those sending undifferentiated mailings.

A 2006 report by Marketing Sherpa found that email marketers using segmentation saw click-through rates that are 72% higher than email marketers who are not segmenting their opt-in lists.

The simplest way you can market to different segments of your opt-in list is by targeting them based on whether they are (a) existing customers, or (b) visitors to your site who have simply opted in to receive your free newsletter, eBook, etc.

The message you send to your existing customers, for instance, might focus on selling them an upgrade to a product they already own. Because you've already earned their trust through a previous sale, this promotion should do quite well.

Of course, you'll need to approach your subscribers -- those people who haven't made a purchase from you yet -- with a slightly different angle. You might try offering them a 25% discount off their firstt purchase, for example.

There's no end of ways to segment your audience depending onthe information you've collected -- and email automation makes it not only possible, but simple!

By targeting different segments of your audience with apromotion specific to their current situation, you can just about guarantee that the results of your email marketing efforts will be dramatically improved.

e. Snag your recipients' attention by using their names.

If there's a "secret" to getting email recipients' attention, it's this: Personalize the subject line. There is no other single technique that will boost the response rate of your emails as much as personalization.

Have you ever noticed that a great salesperson will find out your name and then use it every so often while they talk toyou? It's a way of establishing trust and building rapport. Using someone's name makes them feel as though they have a relationship with you. And the truth of the matter is that nothing gets a person's attention faster than hearing or seeing their own name!

By personalizing your subject lines, you also make your emailappear more authentic and safer to open, because recipients will be more likely to view your email as coming from a trusted source.

Unfortunately, typing each individual recipient's name into the subject line of every email you send is just not practical! Once you grow your list to more than 50 or 100 people, it becomes unmanageable! It's way too time consuming...

The good news is that there is great email marketing software available these days that will help you completely personalize your campaigns automatically, and save you tons of time andeffort.

- Segment your opt-in list for custom mail outs by collecting information on your opt-ins' preferences, buying habits, location, etc.

- Personalize your subject lines automatically to grab your recipients' attention, and make your emails seem more authentic and safer to open.

- Protect yourself from bogus spam complaints. Every time someone subscribes to your list, the date and time should be recorded so if they accuse you of spamming, you can prove to your ISP that they have opted in!

- Filter undeliverable email automatically. The right email marketing software should automatically determine whether your undeliverable message is a hard or a soft bounce. If it's a hard bounce, the email address should be flagged as "bad" automatically.

- Protect yourself from "domain bombing" by automatically removing duplicate addresses from your list -- so you never risk mailing the same subscriber twice and being accused of spamming.

- Avoid having your messages blocked by ISPs and service providers by accidentally hitting their servers too hard, too fast, with too many messages.

... And that just scratches the surface. If the email marketing software you choose doesn't have these capabilities, you will not be able to fully capitalize on the awesome, profit-boosting potential of email marketing. And, your email promotions will be more likely to be considered spam, which can cause big headaches.

Final thoughts

Email marketing remains a highly effective tool for anybusiness. And the success of your campaigns rests largely on the percentage of your messages that get delivered and opened.

Sure this technique worked 5 YEARS AGO... it might have even worked 1 year ago... but it doesn't work really well anymore! Plus... outrageous abuse of this technique can get all of your pages dropped and even get your domain BANNED FOR LIFE! What blows my mind is that people seem to forget this FACT:The Search Engines are COMPUTERS!

It's really easy for Search Engines to SPOT ABUSE and worthless pages! All they have to do is see the pattern and they can and WILL SLAM YOUR PAGES into the trash bin! Knowing that a Search Engine's computer can spot problems, abuses in your pages brings me to the next mistake...

Yahoo! is a DIRECTORY with its own extremely UNIQUE rules with live human beings (editors) making the decisions about where, when, how, and IF your site comes up in a search!
It always cracks me up to see Search Engine submission tools out there claiming they submit to Yahoo!. What a joke...

I made it way up Google! This means it is free for anyone to make it!

As a complete Newbie way up Google.com in one and a half month’s time out of 1 490 000 other search results means anyone can do it!

On a request from someone who had seen my comments on a SEO Forum post about search engine optimization, who sent me an email with the suggestion that I should submit my stuff to a site called "Article Sender", I went ahead and did just that. Submitted my article at Article Sender with a choice of donating* $ 10 to get a better search result (which means they submit to more sites and search engines providing they find your work plausible).
In an article here, you cannot put live hyperlinks though, so you just have to write them without the http://, even if you can write the dot com part.

Anyway, one or two weeks later, I looked at Google for my article, and there it was, # 1 on the words ’Newbie matters’, out of one million four houndred ninety thousand other search results on those words. It is a bit too many just to be coincidental!

One of the deeper tricks seems to be just that: To not put any live hyperlinks in the article it self + to write a nice normal piece without too much of the sales jargon. Then you post it at Article Sender, and they submit it to a trillion different sites.

After that, it ends up in a number of online Ezines; magazines etc., which are indexed at Google for example, in which also your original URL address is mentioned, like mine, which in this case was my blog address.

Then when they click on that address, they enter my blog, where they not only find the article on Newbie matters, now with live Urls, but all my other live Url addresses as well. I.e. affiliate urls; daisy chain urls, referral program urls, friend’s forum’s urls and the urls of all other sites and blogs which contain loads of other links to other sites with more links to other sites, etcetera, now all live!

That is also a trick for high rankings - an overfed background site with all of the above in it + more, to feed the search engine spiders so that they can push your site forward to the top. They love it! This last part about the spiders and their food is quite fascinating, considering people in the business here talk about it like it's really a live sort of being inside the search engines itself!

I learned about the spiders and their food from the Veretekk training sessions, by special trainer Thomas Prendergast, CEO at Inetekk Veretekk Inc. at his Guerilla Marketing trainings there. It is a truly fascinating know-how and higly recommenable.

This is just one example on how to increase your visitor rates and get a good ranking at Google. I will try it again and show you the results and get back later with more reports on the matter. Bye for now!

On NEWBIE Matters

ince I am, what professional marketers on the internet generally call a "Newbie", I have tried to come up with all sorts of ways of finding information and my future prospects.

One of these ways, and perhaps a tips that I can give, is - and this without any strategy what so ever - just to browse around on the different sites; open a few of all the emails that you get from other marketers in return, and maybe just click on a link or two, to see what they're actually marketing. In addition, go from one page to another, not being afraid of signing up for a subscription or another, I mean, if it is free you will not loose anything anyway.

Not long ago I found myself doing just that and this happened to be a forum on SeoNews. Ok, I looked around, read a few, and stopped particularly at one, which talked about difficulties in getting to the top of the search engines, and what to do? Some of the answers talked about a nice way of writing that matters, style, form and so on.

- Ok, I thought, since I had learned a thing or two at the trainings at work. It is not only a question of a nicely put content - but also a question of linking, meta tags, titles, "daisy chaining" (a specific linking technique) and such things, to put with your site when you post it. This stuff feed the search engines to push your site forward from within and from underneath. Well, I answered the forum request to the best of my knowledge, and then forgot about the whole thing. A week or so later I received two emails, asking if I could help, since they had problems with their sites - no matter what they did they could not get their sites to a good position.

Following is my letter to them, and then I have found an additional piece of information, which I found valuable, and thought I would share it with you as well. Firstly, the letter - perhaps it can be useful to another Newbie, like me:

Two years ago, David Hauslaib was a junior at Syracuse University who was, as he confesses, “totally obsessed with who Paris Hilton was sleeping with.” So he did what any college student would do these days: He blogged about it. Hauslaib began scouring the Web for paparazzi photos of Hilton and news items about her, then posting them on his Website, Jossip.com. (Sample headline: PARIS HILTON SPREADS IT IN THE HAMPTONS.)
“My friends got a chuckle out of it, but it didn’t get really big or anything—maybe a few hundred visitors a day,” he says.
Then one day Hauslaib took a good look at Gawker, a gossip site owned by the high-tech publisher Nick Denton. Gawker’s founding writer, Elizabeth Spiers, had pioneered a distinctive online literary style and earned a large following in the Manhattan media world. What really got Hauslaib’s attention, though, was Gawker’s advertising-rate sheet. According to Denton, the site received about 200,000 “page views” a day from readers.
The site ran roughly two big ads on each page, and Gawker said that it charged advertisers $6 to $10 for every 1,000 page views—almost the same as a midsize newspaper. There was also a smattering of smaller, one-line text ads bringing in a few hundred bucks daily. Doing a quick bit of math, he figured that the income from Gawker’s ads could top $4,000 a day. The upshot? Nick Denton’s revenues from Gawker were probably at least $1 million a year and might well be cracking $2 million.
Not bad, considering the blog had no serious expenses other than its writers—first Spiers and now Jessica Coen and Jesse Oxfeld, all working for journalist wages—and Webhosting fees of maybe a few thousand bucks a year. “The rest of it,” Hauslaib points out, “just goes into Nick’s pockets.”
“And I was like, I can do that,” he says, laughing.
So in June 2005, Hauslaib packed his bags and moved to a sparsely furnished sixth-floor walk-up in the East Village, where he parked his massive Dell laptop on his kitchenette counter, installed a flat-screen LCD TV to catch breaking celebrity news, and began working on Jossip in earnest. He’d start each day at dawn, trolling the Web for dirt about celebrities and media stars. (“You gotta have something posted before people get to work,” he explains, “because my audience is people who hate their jobs.”)
